Whimsical Pictures is a small upcoming production company co-owned by Ian Adema and Paul McPheeters. The company is focused on quality storytelling from a fantastical, whimsical, and surreal direction. Focused primarily on fantasy oriented stories, the goal of Whimsical Pictures is to work it's way into creating quality films with decent budgets for the world to enjoy. Because there just aren't enough quality fantasy films out there.



Whimsical Pictures is a side branch of Adema Productions. Ian Adema's short film, Beyond the Mirror is what initially inspired the idea for the production company name back in 2009. Now, his first feature film, Shades of Darkness, is using this production company name, much like Robert Rodriguez did with his first feature El Mariachi when he used Los Hooligans. 



Projects in the works include the short film Spring Waltz, Moon Knight: Origins (a fan film), and the feature film Cloud 9 or The Importance of Being.

Most recent projects to be completed are Red Roses Painted Black, Winter's Dream, and the pilot web series episode of An Inkling of An Inkling.
